1/ The federal government shutdown is threatening food security for more than 1.4 million Georgians, including 640,000 children, who rely on SNAP benefits to eat. Those benefits could stop as soon as November 1.

🚨 It’s official: I’ve drawn an opponent for this November’s election.

Everything we’ve worked for in District 4—fighting displacement, expanding affordable housing, building safer streets, and ensuring our community’s voice is heard—is now on the line.

Three elections. One unified goal. Build a better Atlanta.

From day one, our campaign has been powered by people. Volunteers, neighbors, and supporters have sat with me on my front steps sharing ideas, making calls, knocking doors, and building a vision for a stronger District 4.

It's 404 Day, Atlanta! This week, we launched the Atlanta Local Legacy Program, a first-of-its-kind initiative to celebrate and support the businesses that have shaped our city for 30+ years.

Thank you @healthbeat.org for allowing me to share my thoughts about today's layoffs at the CDC. The CDC has been instrumental in keeping Americans safe and healthy and weakening the CDC only means more preventable deaths, greater economic harm, and a less secure nation.

They’re challenging GOP strongholds with service-first campaigns. #VALeg

Really feel like I’m losing my mind: government OBVIOUSLY cannot punish an individual law firm for hiring someone it disfavors! It’s ludicrously unconstitutional and I feel like without a day of law school I could argue the case. And yet the best paid lawyers in the country are folding?

Goldberg said the level of detail in the targeting package that he received via Signal was down to the *names of individuals* to be killed.

That’s the good stuff that includes all kinds of sources and methods and never should have been outside a SCIF.

I’d be in prison if I fucked up that bad.

The reality here is very simple: Trump thinks there is no limit on his power, that he can spend money how he likes, jail who he likes, rule by fiat, criminalize criticism of himself. He is breaking the law and ignoring the Constitution. And we can either acknowledge that or keep pretending he isn’t.

No further debate—Trump’s DEI policy is clearly racist.

The Pentagon is flagging for removal, historic photos of Black & brown heroes who served, claiming they “promote DEI.”

The military was segregated until 1948. Black people served while facing racism. Where was the DEI? Erasure is the point.

In 20 years there’s going to be a section of the US history curriculum that lists key events in US racism as redlining, white flight, and the 2025 purge of racism from history books and government records
So apparently the AP Human Geography site is culling some of its "daily videos" for class use. A teacher tells me the videos on redlining and white flight are gone. In the screenshot below, you can see the Daily Videos start with no. 2 (no. 1 on this page was redlining, and it's gone now).
