You don't need a constitutional law professor to tell you that the U.S. Constitution quite plainly states that people born in the U.S. are citizens of the U.S.

But it it makes you feel better: Hi! I'm a conlaw prof. The U.S. Constitution plainly states that people born in the U.S. are citizens.
Read it for yourself: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

If you are born in the US, you are a US citizen.
