And that's it for all the known units deployed to Tokyo during the "Security mobilization" of the JSDF during the events of Patlabor 2. There's a lot more to discuss but I made this thread due to the Korean martial law crisis and it was on my mind. ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E6%B2%...

1st division would've had a CBRN unit formed in 1992. They responded to the 1995 sarin gas attack and we see in Patlabor 2 a chemicial attack using airships so they're worth mentioning as well ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E7%AC%...

Type 2 APC, a 8x8 oddity with no real counterpart in JGSDF service. A designated recon vehicle (see ground radar) I treated it as a type 87 analogue.

Likely under 1st Reconnaissance Squad, 1st division [disbanded 2022]. Not mentioned in the movie but a plausible deployment.

Type 1 IFV (the in universe analog to the type 89) deployed on the streets of Tokyo. Most type 89s are deployed with 7th division up in Hokkaido though some are at the Fuji Training school at the Takigahara Garrison with the Infantry Training Regiment in Eastern Army's territory.

Type 99 Command Vehicle. An extended version of the Type 82 Command Communication Vehicle visually, it is presumably used by one of the headquarters unit of the forces deployed.

There's nothing particularly noteworthy of the trucks depicted in Patlabor 2 other than they are Type 73 Ougatas (SKW-464) identified by it’s straight-edge cabover design and round headlights. Used by the infantry regiments to get around and other misc duties.

Interestingly 1st armored were never equipped with type 90s, only getting type 10 in 2012, 2nd Tank Company continued using type 74s, perhaps implying they were also deployed or another unit. (the type 74 here being a fictional variant with ERA, a CITV and a hunter killer sight)

There are more units involved but those are the named ones. Here we see a type 81 deployed to defend the diet building. Likely from 1st Anti-aircraft Artillery Battalion, 1st Division. Formerly under 6th Battalion, 1st Artillery Regiment [separated in 1992] not reflected in film.
