A source familiar w/ internal workings at MasterCard notes the company does not plan to recruit additional call center workers for the Christmas season, as MasterCard does not expect higher call volume than usual. A resurgence of calls re censorship during the busy season would be huge strategically

I legitimately didn't know they were competing with Steam and it's crazy to me that they burnt so much money on what sounds like something with very little (or wildly misguided) market research.

Post reading “I went an entire semester without realizing my friend had tourette's He'd randomly say "jackin off" and we'd all say "hell yeah" and high five him, thinking he was just a cool guy who liked to party” with a picture of a bunch of shiba inu edited so one in the middle is saying “JACKIN’ OFF!!” And all the other ones around it have their paws raised yelling “hell yeah!”
