Thought I could start the day early and be more productive but here I am, not an hour since I fired up my laptop, researching why the Artifact app from 2023 did not succeed. This is not at all what I intended to write or think about lol

We warned you that self-driving cars would just create self-driving traffic jams, and here they are.

The car industry has no solution to the shortage of space in cities. Public transit, cycling, and walking are all part of the answer, but cars are not.
Waymo privatized another public street:

Chanel approaching 4th, San Francisco

Possibly queued for a Billie Eilish show at Chase Center ~half mile away.

The light rail train on 4th seen passing in front of this roboherd has more passenger capacity than all of them combined.

Saw a YouTube video title: "Why has the world become so boring?"

I mean... has it?!?

I envy anyone who can look at the headlines, and think, what a f*cking boring world we live in.

With *wildly gestures at everything*, it's almost criminal to say we live in a time when nothing new is happening

I was looking forward to this local UX event but I found out they're featuring two brands I hate (CebPac and GCash). 🤡 Thinking of going for the merch, but then again I could just enroll in another Chinese class so I can start prepping for HSK 3. Hmm.

One thing that doing creative work teaches you is that ideas are worth nothing. Anybody can have an idea. In a writers room you have to come up with a hundred ideas a day, and most of those don’t make the page. It’s the work of making something that gives it value. The patina of humanity.
"AI only offers suggestions based on your prompts. It's still your imagination."

No. Your imagination provides the germ of a story, expands it into sentences, phrases, paragraphs, chapters, culminating in a complete story. Using AI is "I have an idea," then someone else writes a story based on it.

I just learned Blogdrive is gone. I've forever lost access to photos from my high school and college life, including a photo I had with N**l G****n. I was going to use it for something. Oh well. Guess I'm lucky parts of my life can't be found on the internet; can't say the same for kids these days

The thing about going back to school as a grown-ass adult is you can't complain that it's too much work and that you'd rather just spend the weekend watching movies. Girl you put yourself to it haha. Reklamo ka sa barangay

One thing I learned from a designer I look up to is you have to be obsessed with context. Without the right context, something may not be maximally useful (if such phrase exists)

I hope Filipino films can be more accessible. Now that I live in the province, I haven't seen any new local-made film in the last... 5 years? What a shame. There's just no way for me to watch good films anymore. Unless if there's a screening hosted by UPLB student orgs.

He could, for instance, have written about any number of topics. Here are some ideas for free.

1. What cults are the Anthropic crew in, and what is the ideological ancestry of these cults? (We've done the work for him here, hint hint, its eugenics: firstmonday.org/ojs/index.ph...).
