I hope American doctors and nurses will make their way to safety and stability here in Canada. We need you and you will be welcomed with open arms.
Canada needs more doctors (and nurses). Some doctors in the US may find this article helpful, an unvarnished look at the two medical systems from the perspective of one doctor who took the plunge. #MEDSky
I traded my U.S. medical career for life in Canada. Here’s how the two health systems stack up. canadahealthwatch.ca/2025/03/25/i... @codeblackamerica.bsky.social

This is what we are up against
I’m not kidding you. I read a paper yesterday saying something about not enough zika virus and dengue outbreaks are to blame for the huge dengue case numbers now.

I’m just waiting for someone to write about Ebola and Marburg immunity debt.

That’s it. I’m done.

I never imagined our good neighbours turning against allies, preferring to partner with Russia.
Of course there are many good people in America who did not vote for red hats—however the net result is still the same. Why are millions not out protesting in the streets?

Freddy Mercury died of AIDS 33 years ago today. With modern medical technology, he likely would have lived. Never forget how much progress against major infectious disease has been made in a short time. We are at risk now of rolling back much of that progress.

I love my garden! This is a 140(ish) year old split-leaf waterfall Japanese maple. So special 💗

I took this photo on the beach by my home. Isn’t it amazing that we can perceive beauty? It must be incredibly important for this perceptual feature to have evolved in us. Was it so that we would care for the environment, attached through love? This notion brings up questions. What do you imagine?

I learned some stuff about Bluesky I did not know by reading this.

Maybe worth passing it on to others so we can all start getting the full benefit of the 🦋.
Here’s some cool stuff you can do with Bluesky
