the other: destruction of sustainable energy initiatives
Trump will not just be four years of bad management. The culture of these organizations will be fucked for a long time. The pressure to retaliate and clean house will be strong, and no-one wants to work in a war zone.

It's so, so, so bad.
The DOJ ordered US Marshals to the house of the pardon attorney who refused to sign off on a pardon to give Mel Gibson back his guns. Big law firms told her they supported her but did not want to be seen representing her.
This is the use of government-sponsored fear to silence dissent.

Almost everyone with a high level of racial resentment tended to vote for Trump in the 2024 election, regardless of educational attainment. Conversely, those with a low racial resentment score tended to support Harris, whether they had a college degree or not.

SCOTUS today granted the Trump-Vance admin’s request to review a lower court decision declaring the government’s turnback policy – where border patrol agents physically block people from seeking asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border – unlawful.

We will continue to meet the admin’s lawlessness in court.

I am constantly frustrated by the feeling that we're at war and I'm not doing enough. I know I'm not alone in this.

Here's what I think is brilliant advice from @therealjackhopkins.bsky.social

Let's hope that when we get ourselves dug out of this Trump mess, we get ourselves dug *all* the way out so we can rebuild what has needed to be rebuilt for a very long time.
Let's to stop till we get there.
