Everytown just released its annual Crime Gun Recovery Report, which found that just four gun manufacturers – Glock, Taurus, Smith & Wesson, and Ruger – produced more than half of all guns recovered in crimes in 2024, despite the existence of more than 6K active licensed gun manufacturers nationwide.
Thousands of guns are found at crime scenes. What do they tell us?
A report from the advocacy group Everytown For Gun Safety analyzed data from local police departments on nearly 350,000 guns used in crimes from 2020 to 2024, including where they came from.

After a shooting in 1996, Australia enacted sweeping gun safety legislation and experienced no public mass shootings for two decades and a significant decrease in firearm deaths. Now, Australian lawmakers are acting again to further protect people from gun violence after this weekend’s shooting.

An analysis of the K-12 School Shooting Database by The Trace found that over 99% of shootings at high school sporting events weren’t preplanned—most began as disputes that escalated. When people bring guns into these spaces, conflicts can turn deadly. More guns in more places do NOT make us safer.

ICE claims they’re protecting our safety. But what’s safe about neighborhoods filled with fear?

What’s safe about being harassed or grabbed off the street?

They don’t want to protect our communities. They want to control them.

Big news from PA! Governor Shapiro just signed the state budget, and it includes $62.15 million for community violence intervention programs—a 10% increase over last year. This is the second year in a row that Pennsylvania has boosted state investment in community-based solutions that save lives.

Our lawmakers should be focused on passing policies that keep us safe—but instead, they're considering legislation that would gut our life-saving gun laws. I just sent a message urging my lawmakers to oppose it: etwn.us/3DGVCCY @Everytown
Tell Congress: Oppose the Federal Concealed Carry Mandate
This legislation puts the safety of our communities at risk.
