Alternative proposal: let's collectively approach our employers, local public bodies, favourite organisations etc and demand they leave Twitter already.

I can't explain to anyone outside the region how bad this is for us all and the chaos this is going to cause for our lives. Basically cutting off the north and south of the Tyne apart from one route that is already also closed for repairs and busy. A nightmare.
