'Why the PIP cuts will push disabled people OUT of work'
Disabled benefit is being cut to "encourage" the sick into work, says Fleet Street Fox. It will have the opposite effect

Ed Davey with wife Emily on TV this morning talking about caregivers and caring for their son. The humanity pouring out of them (and particularly him with her) was a lovely and rarely seen thing in politicians. Hope more of this can be seen, not just windsurfing and log flumes.

When did you ever hear the BBC stating that it must alter “story selection” and “other types of output, such as drama”, to win the trust of Green voters, or of unrepresented people on the left?
All the shifts are in just one direction.

Decent politicians need to push back against Farage's comments on Lucy Connelly.

"millions of mothers after Southport feeling exactly the same way"?

No.
Millions did NOT feel the need to call for mass murder of asylum seekers & we simply cannot allow the idea to be normalised.

There's no placating the Brexiters, no reasoning with them, no basic comprehension or adulthood. You can't debate papers behaving like the Sun or the Mail this morning. There's nothing to debate with. They view all trading relations with Europe as humiliation.

I still think represents the most shocking void in the UK’s COVID response - when the largest biomedical facility offered to undertake testing (many universities did the same) the government didn’t even answer. The cost would have been minimal. But no profit for private companies… is that it?
Astonishing evidence at the Covid Inquiry.

The Government repeatedly ignored offers from the Crick Institute to provide mass testing on a national scale.

Instead, the Government paid Deloitte consultants to project manage, not yet established, privately run labs.

The way to beat Reform is to:

be BETTER than them,

more honest than them,

have real solutions they don’t have.

Not to try and BE them!

Their voters (a national minority) don’t want Reform lite from a party they hate.

But the rest of us want true thriving policy from grownups with integrity.

An anniversary worth marking.

I'm sure we're going to see the very people who have trashed its legacy seek to appropriate WW2 today - so let's remember what was really fought for: peace, a more united Europe, a land fit for heroes (mark 2) and the defeat of fascism.

Immigration is not the problem it’s now widely believed to be.
Brexit is much more of a problem than it’s reported to be.
So how can govt achieve growth, fix public svcs and deal with the cost of living if fear of Reform means it won’t be honest with us about these 2 elephants in the room?
It can’t.

It’s no surprise that if you give Farage the run of the place, he’ll start winning.
Time to do your actual jobs and start interrogating him on his Brexit shitshow, his funding, his Trumpiness, his idiotic manifesto, his real plans for the NHS… instead of drumrolling him into No.10
