Das Dunkel nimmt das Licht auf,
bewahrt es, bis es wieder leuchten kann.
Flowing into dusk – über Vertrauen, Wandlung
und die Kraft, sich neu zu formen.
Die Arbeit Flowing into dusk liegt auf einem Holzfußboden. Zu sehen ist eine Wasseroberfläche in Bewegung – kräftige Blautöne, durchzogen von warmem Licht, das sich in den Wellen spiegelt. Die Struktur der Pinselstriche und der fließende Farbauftrag lassen das Wasser lebendig wirken. Die Arbeit „Flowing into dusk“, in einem Mock Up, hängt in einem dunklen Rahmen an einer hellen Wand. Die Malerei zeigt eine tiefblaue Meeresoberfläche, durchzogen von warmen Reflexen in Gold, Rosa und hellem Gelb. Auf einem goldenen Tisch daneben steht eine Vase mit roten Blättern – Licht und Schatten fallen weich in den Raum und betonen die ruhige Atmosphäre des Werks. A little experiment with gouache on tinted paper... the tinted paper is not the experiment, but the kind of paper. It's mixed media and not really ideal for wet media, but it behaved well enough and I like the green hue a lot.
