truly insane
One of Sen. Ernst's constituents points out that people are going to die if Republicans' cuts to Medicaid go through. Ernst's response?

"Well, we all are going to die."

Republicans know exactly what they are doing—all so billionaires can get another tax cut.

The splitscreen tonight is a horror show.

The House is amending its reconciliation bill to terminate clean energy investment even earlier.

The Senate is shredding its rulebook in order to destroy a cornerstone of the Clean Air Act.

The consequences will be felt for a long long time.

The House Republicans spending bill is Robin Hood in reverse. It smashes provisions like Medicaid and food assistance for poor Americans to give tax cuts to the already wealthy and big corporations.

The House Republican budget plan would eviscerate Medicaid and food assistance and shift resources toward the wealthiest Americans.

Americans are already hurting from high energy costs, and now Congressional Republicans are attempting to raise costs even further by gutting clean energy tax credits… just to fund their #BigBillionaireBailout. Read more about the bill here: www.americanprogress.org/article/the-...

This Earth Month, let’s talk about what’s at stake 🌎

Working-class Americans need clean air and water, lower energy bills, and protection from extreme weather. But the Trump administration is canceling the very projects that would make it possible. Hear more from @jasia.bsky.social:

Since the passage of the IRA, states have benefited from millions in clean energy & manufacturing investment + thousands of new jobs. But Congressional Republicans are putting that all at risk.

The House of Representatives is considering a bill that will lead to voter purges and widespread disenfranchisement of eligible voters.

The SAVE Act stems from baseless claims of voter fraud and is part of a strategic, well-financed effort to suppress voting.
The SAVE Act Would Disenfranchise Millions of Citizens
The SAVE Act would require all Americans to prove their citizenship with documentation unavailable to millions and upend the way every American citizen registers to vote.

I’m seeing a lot of confusion about the Equal Rights Amendment online.

I've been working on the ERA for 13 years & literally wrote a book about it.

So, let me help answer some questions.

1) Yes, it really is a real amendment & fully part of the U.S. Constitution. Full stop.
