No top story mention of #StormÉowyn on
@BBCNews website - no mention in the Guardian, Telegraph, Times - even though arrives in 24 hours and peoples' lives are in danger if they are unaware it's on the way! Madness the priorities of stories in the news. Is it because it's not affecting SE England?

These comments by Streeting are disgraceful. The safety of a senior female politician has been put at risk; let alone that she's been grotesquely defamed.

Never, EVER accept the lie that this is somehow a 'forest', just because there are trees: it's not. A real forest is 1,000s of diverse species, all intricately connected.

By contrast, what you're looking at here is one face of the death of nature, covering around 10% of Ireland.

🇺🇳 The Standing Committee of the #Bern Convention just voted down the protection status of the #wolf 👉 This will not solve the challenges for livestock. This is not based on science but was political. #Wolves play a crucial role in ecosystems. And: we cannot allow risking the EU Habitats Directive! 🐺
A @coe.int committee will discuss tomorrow whether to lower the protection status of the wolf, after a request from the European Union.

Driven grouse shooting is Scotland’s shame. It creates biodiversity deserts with a small sub set of species surviving there. Burning produces pollution and climate warming. How can we justifying killing 100s of thousands of native species per annum so a few people can shoot another species for fun?
