Which sounds silly, but its down to the fact there is less public transport, and more out of town retail parks which are incredibly car centric. One day, my scheme for an Inverness subway will be taken seriously 😀.

The ignorant comments from car centric people hit hard when you don't have the option to drive like I do. I generally manage fine without one - mainly down to living in city & with the Scottish Government's concessionary travel scheme. I would struggle in a smaller Scottish town

I didn't realise that the North license is still separate, so in theory someone could launch a rival bid in 2034? Not that I see anyone in a position to do so.

It feels like the end of the road for what was Grampian. It still sticks in some people's throats that the brand was done away with, and people in the north resent the Central belt centralisation.
