The new AFI album was in my feed today…hadn’t listened to anything from them since 1999? I was more of an Answer That guy.

WTF is this? Gothy synth rock. The picture of Davey is insane. I kind of dig it just because we are all old now and it’s different than I expected.

You continue to do you.

It’s not about the left at this point. If there are any Republicans left in Congress that care about the Constitution anymore, they should be calling in every official to explain these bombastic statements and actions, under oath. Bog them down with follow-ups and make them go beyond sound bites

And here I am agreeing with Bill Kristol
You know when things were pretty quiet and peaceful in L.A.? Before ICE started arresting residents who were bothering no one and going to their jobs. And before DHS and National Guard troops showed up and made the situation worse.

Of course Trump and Stephen Miller want the situation to get worse.

Is this tariff in response to the fentanyl or the immigration emergency? Or is it the Venezuelan gang invasion? I can’t keep up.

I look forward to Congress clarifying why the executive branch would ever have the ability to levy something like this. I’m sure they’ll jump right on it.

School is getting out. The weather is great. If there isn’t a swarm of college students descending on DC to occupy then we truly are cooked, as the kids like to say.

The judiciary may block this but it isn’t withstanding the onslaught. It will take more than op-eds to protect higher ed in America

This is absolutely wild. As a CTO, I would require burners for any travel to China, Russia, Pakistan, and Iran. Nobody ever traveled to North Korea, but they were on the list as well. This is the company we now keep in the eyes of Europe.
Breaking news: The European Commission is issuing burner phones and basic laptops to some US-bound staff to avoid the risk of espionage — a measure traditionally reserved for trips to China www.ft.com/content/20d0...

Why seeing trade deficits as a problem is silly. We buy $150B of stuff from Vietnam and they buy $10B from US.

Taxing ourselves 50% on Vietnamese goods doesn’t make them buy more things from us. We will simply buy less from them and pay huge taxes on what we do buy.

It’s so fucking stupid.

Here is a perfect example of where our Constitution (and institutions) need to be modernized and strengthened.

There has never been a President that has the technical acumen to make decisions like this and it’s unlikely there ever will be. To say nothing of the conflict of interests at hand.
