BREAKING: Our client Mario Guevara, an Emmy-winning journalist detained by ICE in retaliation for livestreaming law enforcement activity, will be deported tomorrow to El Salvador.

Mario and his family are being punished for his reporting. This cruelty is meant to stifle our free press.

I've worked on the far-right beat for nearly 10 years now, and I've had to handle sorting through a lot of misinformation on politically motivated violence. And this is by far the worst instance of it, including from a lot of people who should really know better.

To be clear, 6 far-right extremist terrorists have taken over the U.S. Supreme Court and turned it into a weapon for the orange felon’s totalitarian goals.

Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson are all that remain of the highest court in the land.

The Roman senate in Feb of 44 BC:
We are in very dark times. It’ll take an entire political/social movement, an overwhelming rebuke at the polls, and a new vision of governance to unstick this country from whatever this collapse is.

Hey, remember when the Panama Papers were released and they showed how basically every wealthy person on the planet was avoiding taxes by offshoring their money and nothing was done about it except the reporter who broke the story was murdered with a car bomb?

I don’t believe in astrology but I DO believe that everybody looks like their dogs. Every single time I see a dog I feel they match their owner in an aesthetic way but also in vibe. There’s definitely confirmation bias at play, but I feel I can tell when it’s a dog walker rather than the owner!!!

There already is a good mobile app for your business. It's called a "web browser".

It has the benefit of working on non-phone devices too.

Pretty egregious error from this book: The authors say Swedish deaths fell by 2.3% during the pandemic, proving that the country's lax lockdown strategy worked.

But they misread their source: Mortality is only down if you remove the COVID deaths.

63% of American adults had unfavorable views of Martin Luther King Jr in August 1966, per Gallup surveys

46% of Mississippi GOP voters said interracial marriage should be illegal in a 2011 PPP poll

to push w/e is popular instead of trying to popularize justice is to admit you lack moral leadership
EXCLUSIVE: A top Democratic strategist has launched new policy research and messaging hub, called Searchlight, with a goal of pushing the party toward the most effective, broadly popular positions.
Dems are quietly forming a think tank to help them win again
Searchlight, a name inspired by the birthplace of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, comes at a precarious moment for a Democratic Party.

Created as a haven for free thinkers, UATX was the last place where I’d expected to encounter ideological litmus tests.

I don't understand how some folks are unable to see that the illegal disappearing of people is a class issue. The wealthy and well-connected get due process. The rest of us don't. This is part of the oligarchy, not a distraction from it.
