They’ll argue all day we need to hear from Nazis because freedom of speech must protect the worst speech but will go “nah forget the rule of law” if it looks like it’ll benefit someone they don’t like for even One Second

all the “biden age coverup” guys presumably writing their articles on Trump threatening people over reporting on his health
Trump admits he took another cognitive test.

They don’t just give those out for funsies.

He also says the NYT reporting on his heath is sedition and perhaps treason.

Whatever news he got must be awful.

Continues to repulse me that Niall Ferguson, married to a Somalian lady, rooted for this guy over Harris
Trump: "Ilhan Omar, whatever the hell her name is. With her little turban. I love her. She comes in, does nothing but bitch ... we ought to get her the hell out ... she's here illegally."

The crowd in Pennsylvania then starts chanting "send her back!"

apparently these people just get a pass as they constantly do the 'conflating all Jews with Israel' actual antisemitic canard, by the clever trick of pretending they think this is a thing their opponents believe
God knows I do not like Britain’s awful politics pundits, but I have never despised anyone as much as they appear to hate more or less everybody.

literally every normal person noticed all the macho bullshit about war and lethality and rules of engagement saw murder coming, it does make you think what they're up to at the washington post op ed page

www.spectator.co.uk/article/an-a... the spectator saw a guy trying to expose literal British fascists and decided to try to get him in trouble with the law. Pretty funny to try to do the whole 'let justice be done though the heavens fall' when they've e.g. ignored a genocide for two years

How is this not overt gutter racism and if it is, why is it not front page news across the world, why are those with a platform protecting this man
Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

One of the more frustrating things is how obviously beatable Trump is - ask him about his sex crimes, ask him to name the capital of South Africa, ask him a basic maths problem - and he’d fall apart. I could do it and I’m not that smart. yet powerful people refuse to do this

@vanessabusch.bsky.social www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... interesting article but Trump ruefully talking about how close the US came to getting Venezuelan oil seems like pretty good supporting evidence for Maduro's claim, no?
December 2, 2025 at 9:38 PM
@kfj-fp.bsky.social foreignpolicy.com/2025/12/02/t... I found this interesting and I'm not being faction but why should we believe Trump understands the nature of Venezuelan oil production beyond 'oil is valuable and it would be good if I had it'?
Trump’s Venezuela Fixation Is Not About the Oil
There are lots of reasons why the Trump administration is angling for regime change in Caracas, but heavy oil isn’t one of them.

Maybe I’m wrong but “confirmed” feels like the BBC going “yeah this is true”, compared to a word like “stated” or “alleged” - why should we trust this serial liar? Especially when her statement coincidentally exonerates her colleague of one of the most serious charges?

my formulation “the president, lying or incompetent, said today…” remains free to any media types who want it btw
talking to reporters last night, Trump claimed of Hegseth's double tap strike that "I don't know anything about it," then moments later claimed "I don't who you're talking about" when asked his plan to pardon the former Honduran president

freaks like hegseth praise The West then turn around and go “it’s funny to mock allegations made under concepts of Western justice” perhaps we might learn something about taking these people seriously when they say they have principles
Also, this tweet should be a scandal in its own right! The Secretary of Defense, currently under bipartisan scrutiny for potentially committing cold-blooded murder of shipwrecked men, is cracking public jokes about what he did - essentially spitting in the face of his victims AND Congress.
December 1, 2025 at 8:07 AM
www.washingtonpost.com/national-sec... the BBC has done a bunch of articles including their often embarrassing 'Verify' series on the Caribbean boat bombings but have nothing to say on this, presumably because it's getting harder not to go 'yeah this is obviously murder'
