but a lot of criticism i see mostly comes down to landlord bootlicking and Productivity-ism and idk man those just dont hold water to me

actual meaningful criticisms of it like the central figures being two probably-straight white(*) men, the bisexuality thing, how broadway is always going to appeal to the affluent so it can never have real teeth in depicting the issues, etc
i will bear those out yeah

i have found that a lot of criticism comes down to defending benny's landlordism (obviously stupid) and the idea that mark should be happy to have a real job (frankly the more time goes on the more im like yeah actually maybe making exploitative slop Is just spiritually bad even if it's a paycheck)
