Newcastle United fan. Massive Joe Willock ultra.
Yep, hopefully that improves the issues, but what if it doesn’t?

Aye, the lack of an obvious alternative would make it a bit silly.
November 10, 2025 at 12:55 PM
That’s a fair prediction, but what if this away form continues until the summer? Surely we couldn’t wait that long. Big what if though.
November 10, 2025 at 12:33 PM
Pep Guardiola is a unique case though. The lack of viable alternatives means we should be in no rush to make a change. I’d give him the season and assess how things end up. Missing out on Europe would be hugely damaging to the club though, financially and optically.

That’s the question. There’s nobody obvious out there, which will probably lead to Howe getting this season. I’d be in favour of that and seeing how things end up.

Only so long the away supporters will spend money and watch that crap. Could get toxic if we lose the derby.
November 10, 2025 at 12:22 PM
100% agree. Big pressure on the full backs unlocking the rest of the team.
November 10, 2025 at 12:21 PM
I think it’s a very small amount of people that want him gone, but I don’t think it’s crazy to start to wonder if this is the start of the end. Huge few weeks ahead.
November 10, 2025 at 12:20 PM
The Derby game could be the one. If this away form continues until then and we lose that game, it could get toxic.

Wissa is destined to fail in my eyes. I wanted him as a Wilson replacement, but he’s being built up so much, it’ll be impossible to live up to it.
November 10, 2025 at 11:54 AM
If you spend the money we did in the summer, you expect some progression. You may be right and they may turn out to be more of the same, but then the recruitment should be criticised. Have to let it play out though.

I’d be concerned if we had because we’ve only had this squad for a couple of months 😂
November 3, 2025 at 10:13 AM
Exactly. A couple of teams will go on a run. It really won’t take a lot to climb the table. Maybe we will. Maybe we won’t, but league season is far from over.
November 3, 2025 at 10:04 AM
Aye, the actual table is what matters. You’d rather have loads of points than good performance indicators, but the latter is more likely to impact what happens next than the former. We obviously have to start winning soon though.
November 3, 2025 at 9:44 AM
Our performances may have been dreadful, but 16 teams have been worse according to the data.
November 3, 2025 at 9:38 AM
Understat. Not my favourite data source, but I don’t have access to the better stuff. We’ve left a lot of points out there this season.
November 3, 2025 at 9:34 AM
Won’t take a lot to change that. Currently all the performance indicators/metrics have us in 4th in the xG table. Obviously the actual table means more, but our true level of performance is closer to the top of the league than where we are.

They do employ Romero.
