Was slightly concerned by CL squad restrictions if Longstaff leaves, but turns out, we don’t have 25 players worth registering anyway. Will probably see Krafth/Targett/Lascelles miss out if we make the signings we need. A couple of those may leave anyway. #nufc

Turning the attention firmly to Spurs. A few 50/50 calls for Howe to make. Livramento/Trippier, Hall/Kelly, Tonali/Longstaff and Barnes/Murphy. I think he'll want Livramento's pace against this Spurs team. Tonali started quick on Weds, so better to have him initially. Barnes a good impact sub. #nufc

My team for tonight. Eddie has to go strong. I'd like to see Willock/Barnes get starts. Almiron probably gets a run out here. Burn/Kelly a tough call, but Kelly deserves a chance in his natural position. With tough league games ahead, this is the chance to start Tonali. #nufc

I did feel sorry for Bournemouth when the goal was disallowed yesterday, but not sure I agree with the general feeling that it was a mistake. Handball rule is clear when you read the rules. The ‘sleeve’ rule is a media myth. It isn’t written in the rules, as the diagram shows. #nufc
