Newcastle United fan. Massive Joe Willock ultra.
Looking at some data for the season and the biggest alarm bell I’ve found is Jacob Murphy has taken 26 shots. The next most is Bruno and Gordon with 14. We won’t go anywhere quick if this trend continues. #nufc

Tino/Hall getting spoken about a lot and for good reason. As much as they do offer more in the final third, the thing we miss most is their ability to carry the ball 5-10 yards in our first phase of play. We’re so stodgy in the first phase without them. #nufc

Not Howe out by a long shot, but I do find it interesting the divisions in opinion. Some think he has enough credit to be given a lot more time, while others want him gone now. How long does that credit buy him? It’s impossible to know the right answer. #nufc

Joelinton discourse from opposition fans is funny to me. Is the bloke a tactical foul master? Yes. Does he walk a fine line sometimes? Yes. Is he dangerous? Never. Can’t recall him ever injuring someone or going studs up. #nufc

I think tonight is the night Will Osula becomes a hero. I’ll take no questions at this time. #nufc

Interested to see the line up tomorrow night. Feels like a good opportunity for us to get a big result at home over a rival, even if it is a cup game. #nufc

Sadly, there’s never been anything as guaranteed as Forest beating us on Sunday in a game that’ll go down as the only win for Ange before getting sacked at the end of October. #nufc

Lots of result/confirmation bias after that one. My read on the game was that it was an even one. Both teams carried out their game plans, and the one that got the first goal won. Think that would have been true if we’d got it. Both teams very good at managing a lead. #nufc

Just saw two Magpies together while on the dog walk, so by the law of Magpies, we will see a Newcastle win today. Don’t worry, I saluted. #nufc

Best thing about this app is Kev’s transfer threads. Another great and unbiased analysis of a new signing. #nufc
After a summer of failed attempts to land a striker, #NUFC have signed 23-year-old German international striker Nick Woltemade (Vol-tuh-mar-duh) from VfB Stuttgart in a club record £69m deal.

Let’s look at what the 6’6” striker, nicknamed "Wolte-Messi", will bring to St James’ Park 🧵

Recovered to a 7/10 window for me. Never looked like being a 10/10 window, but looked like a potential 1 or 2 at some points. Club did well to recover. Hopefully lessons learned, both about managing your current players and the agents/transfer journalists too. Looked amateur at times. #nufc

If Isak/Osula/Wissa all get confirmed, I'd call the window 6/10. Raised the floor of the squad, but lost key players too. Isak the quality, while Wilson/Longstaff/Dubravka all good influences to lose. Hopefully we have left something back for January. Fresh impetus then can be important. #nufc

Get ready for the Will Osula PR. Doubt we sign another striker. #nufc

Last season, we played terrible at the start of the season and got more points than we deserved. This year, it’s the opposite so far. Points are king, but it’s probably a better base to build on. #nufc

Wissa and Isak. The Instagram divas. Coming to a stadium near you soon. #nufc

Great thread as ever from Kev. The more I hear/read about Ramsey, the more excited I am about the move. Hopefully this isn’t Kev’s final thread of the summer. #nufc
Newcastle United have completed their 4th signing of the summer, shelling out ~£40m for Jacob Ramsey from EPL rival Aston Villa.

Like Thiaw, the club have secured a player that’s been on their shortlist for a long time. Why does Howe like him so much? It’s time to take a closer look 🧵 #NUFC

Why Newcastle have moved for Aston Villa’s Jacob Ramsey
Newcastle United’s transfer window finally looks to be clicking into gear. Unfortunately for Eddie Howe, this has come just days before the season kicks off, which isn’t ideal for acclimatisation.

This weekend, the match gets decided by Villa’s left vs our right. If Tripps/Schar get support and play well, we will win. If they get left isolated against Maatsen/Malen/Rogers/Watkins, we lose. It’s that simple for me. #nufc

I struggle to really get the argument Liverpool fans are making about Isak. We are trying to let him go, but surely they understand we can't do that unless we sign some strikers. We're not moaning about Brentford keeping hold of Wissa, as they'd be silly to let him go without a new striker. #nufc

A must read for any #nufc fan. Probably worth reading for any fan to be honest. Kev doing what Kev does.
After 3 years of chasing the young German centreback, Newcastle United #NUFC are about to sign Malick Thiaw (pronounced Mal-ick Tch-ow) for a reported fee of £35m including add-ons.

Why has Eddie Howe’s & the club's interest never waned? Let’s break down what the 24-year-old will bring to SJP 🧵🔽

One reason to be very positive about our season ahead is our wide options. Last season, the four of them combined for 61 goal contributions. I wouldn’t back against them getting a similar haul this campaign. Elanga/Gordon both have room for his growth in their production. #nufc

Malick Thiaw a great signing. Fans won’t even notice his biggest weakness, which is that he can be slow on the turn due to his size. Mainly because Schar and Burn are even slower… #nufc

If Newcastle end up with Jackson because they’ve lost out on Sesko they’ve literally fallen upwards

I’m the driver of the Nicolas Jackson train. Sign him. See him score more than Sesko, Ekitike and Pedro. #nufc
