Also I’ve seen a few who have preferred Wish over K-Pop Demon Hunters, including Mr. Coat. Gee, I wonder how certain animation “fans” will feel about it?

Even for junk such as Smurfs, The Emoji Movie, and more, it’s not against the law to be more positive on them than most. At the end of the day, they’re just movies and they can have an audience of their own, despite their general reception. If you can’t accept it, how about you touch grass?

I never held a serious grudge on someone I know who has a different opinion on a piece of media, and even when I do, I keep it to myself and reevaluate how I should approach it. Taste is subjective and you can’t control what people like.

A little off topic, but you could say it’s comparable to Sony Pictures’ situation where they’re really underestimating their animation division’s new original projects as they’ve unfortunate been very dependent on their previous IPs to be successful.

Yes, there really hasn’t been an animated film that reached Frozen’s level popularity for over a decade. Encanto may have broken the charts and did amazing on Disney+, but it did wind down as people were getting into Turning Red a few months later.
