This should chill everyone in this country to the bone. All she did was write an OpEd the administration didn’t like. This is fascistic suppression of free speech.

AOC: What they like to call as radical, I believe is common sense.

I believe that when a person gets sick, they shouldn’t go bankrupt in the wealthiest country in the history of the world. Common sense

I believe that a minimum wage should cover the minimum cost to live. Common sense...

Happy Heavenly Birthday Chester. Through the dark clouds that were brewing in your mind, you still brought so much sunshine and brightness to the world. It is missed so much. YOU are missed so much, even more so now. #ChesterBe

New, from me:

Trump is whitewashing American history, removing not just people, but also the stories, images, and values to anyone who does not conform to his impoverished vision of America.

Here is a partial inventory. 🧵

I was told we needed to eliminate foreign aide so we could focus on American homelessness, and now we are eliminating the US interagency council on homelessness. It’s almost as if they are constant and consistent liars.
Phrasing like this shows unambiguous contempt for Congress and malice towards the American people.

My first and definitely last time working with the Los Angeles Times. Editing out the most urgent point of an OpEd in the minutes before sending to press while then also assigning a title and image that suggest an argument entirely opposite to the author’s clear intent is pretty shitty.

I gotta say, I'm getting pretty tired of hearing "he can't do that!" when he very clearly is doing that.

If your Christianity causes you to be offended by someone asking the most powerful person in the country to be merciful towards the powerless, then you have profoundly misunderstood the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”
