my kittens are already outsmarting me
gather 'round, it's time for another episodes of "these kittens I have adopted are actually criminal masterminds."

So, about a week ago, one of the four cats in the house barfed up some grass. NBD on it's own, but there was a problem:

there are currently no live plants in this house.

So: the “Protect Bathurst / Dufferin” astroturf campaign run by Summerhill Market had videos of a guy talking about the neighborhood & RapidTO proposal. Real grassroots feel. Took a screenshot & put it into google image search. Guess what?

a lot of people have this reflexively dismissive and contemptuous attitude towards this technology to the point of refusing to even learn how it works, which is going to be a real problem as this stuff improves, because you are going to need to understand (a little about) how it works to spot it

Our next ANCIENT RECIPE will be Grandma Lena's Oatmeal Cookies, courtesy of Charles Murray and the Winnipeg Mennonite Elementary School. Probably later tonight. The last cookies were more molasses than oatmeal so we're gonna try again.

these are...so weird? And delicious, i think? all of my senses are confused. they're like incredibly strong and incredibly mild at the same time
The recipe is light on details and the process seems somewhat unhinged to my modern sensibilities but maybe I just don't know the ways of the ancients. In any case, the results!

So I have to start purging political news from my bluesky feed. I'm sorry, I know there's a lot going on, but this used to be somewhere I came to have fun. I can be miserable anywhere, including twitter. Having nowhere to escape it is harming me. I think it's harming a lot of you too.

disturbing uptick in "we post tweets and talk about them." servile behavior tbh. bluesky is not the Greek chorus for the main character action of twitter, that's loser thinking, have some pride. twitter is dead. post bangers. thank you
