Our study explains why yeast cells lacking Neo1 are neomycin sensitive, which targets PI4P when it is exposed on the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane. We show that Neo1 flips PI4P, offering key mechanistic insight into how phosphoinositide membrane asymmetry is maintained. @vuartsci.bsky.social
