The Canadian approach to Halloween is odd. Grown adults - serious people - go to work in costume. My wife, a university professor who takes her job very seriously dresses up as a racoon for work. One of her colleagues is a rabbit. Every year.

Was only vaguely bothered about the Olympics, but stoked to watch the Paralympics. I am still thinking about being a blind winter Paralympian in the curling except they don't even have it for blind folk and I have played curling zero times.

I can't speak Canadian but I can speak basic-intermediate/everyday Canadian until I have ONE beer, and then I only speak Scottish, apparently. Fuck sake.
