We may not live in a media landscape anymore in which over-the-air television and radio are as influential on our news, educational, and entertainment habits, but the devaluing of public broadcasting just shows how fucking dire the landscape is on the whole.

I grew up on PBS. *That* was my main network for cartoons as a kid. My dad introduced me to a bunch of documentaries on there.

And sure, maybe NPR listenership makes you “cringe” or “shitlib” nowadays, but I *did* learn a lot listening to it as a teen with a burgeoning sense of political identity.

Hopefully this stupid pun offers a bit of levity amidst an otherwise shitty day.
