The point of a government of, by, and for the People, is to make life better for all the People, in a fair and equitable way.
It's in the Preamble to our Constitution. Promote the general welfare.
At no point did the founders mandate the rich get richer.

Companies may hire people to produce goods or services in order to meet demand for those goods and services.
Demand creates jobs.
Give them tax breaks, lower safety standards, etc, won't create jobs.
Pay higher wages and people will spend more, creating demand.
