For Resonite at least there's a bunch of Linux users in the community, if you need help getting it to work you could ask in the Linux channel on Resonite's Discord.

Do you not feel the AI juice contributing to your Microsoft experience?

I said it before, I'll say it again. Unity is a loading screen simulator. Some stuff on Resonite also can take a while, like importing complex objects. But the key difference is, you can do other stuff WHILE it's processing those...

Yeah, also keep in mind Resonite's performance will continue to improve with future updates, like the data model rework / variable rate updating / new rendering engine. Even if it might be a bit choppy at the Frame's launch, it will surely improve over time. Also foveated rendering, of course.

It sure depends on the type of science! But I think VR is great for data visualization / working together over long distances in any case. So there's definitely some good use-cases for it.
November 13, 2025 at 12:13 PM
Yeah probably. Resonite runs pretty decently on the Steam Deck since the performance update. Of course it heavily depends on what world you're in / how many avatars / objects there are. But generally speaking I don't see an issue.

They mention multiple platforms in the introduction, it would be a bit strange to only interview people on a single one, since that will bias their results to only social VR users that play VRChat / have an VRChat account. Perhaps you'd have to ask to use a different platform for the interview.

To be fair they were quite expensive. But they were a lot cooler than anything currently sold on their new merch store.

No, the original. You can't buy it anymore.

(It took forever to find that picture).

They had a really cool thing where it looks like each shirt has a slightly different color gradient, which I found super neat!

Well that company should produce more then x3

I don't mind the idea of merch, I like how much thought went into that first shirt, the design is really good, the people making it were literally on the Resonite Discord answering questions. I just feel none of the Selfy stuff even comes close.

The original Resonite shirt is freaking great. I have two, but I'd absolutely buy a few more spare ones if they'd add them back.
October 30, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Yeah, there's a few ones. I believe the most used one is called DPS, but I'm not sure where you'd find that.

One advise I got from a friend was just turn off the view count while you're streaming and only look at it afterwards.

I mean I have like, 0-4 viewers when I stream so it's not like I'm in it big anyway. But I feel looking at the numbers live just ends up distracting me too much.

There's a bunch of communities on Resonite that host persistent "headless" sessions. Basically a world that's always up for people to join whenever they want. I have my own that I use as my home world (although I do sometimes close the session when I'm not around, or at least hide it from public).

I think there's some really cool experiences on VRChat, Chillout and Resonite. I'm always open to exploring other platforms with friends every now and then to catch those. All 3 communities have incredibly talented creators. I think only playing one means missing out on a lot of cool stuff.

The standing in front of mirrors for hours part has always turned me off. I remember that was pretty much the only thing people were doing last time I explored CVR. But I do hope by now there's a lot more to do x3
October 10, 2025 at 1:43 PM
Not saying it's perfect by any means, but there's a lot of potential hiding under that crusty UI x3 (But I'm *really* looking forward to much of that UI being cast into the fires of hell and replaced with something decent in the future.)
