Heritage Interpretation is my thing especially if it's done in costume. And even written a book on it. Chair of AHI She/her Glasgow Girl. www.artemisscotland.com

I do enjoy a visit to the National Portrait Gallery in London for a spot of costume research. On this occasion I was looking at cuffs. #FashionHistory #CostumedInterpretation

Transphobes are always misogynists; and those who will attack trans healthcare will always deny, reduce, downplay or dismantle women's healthcare.

Always.

Wes Streeting dumps women’s health target from NHS plan, but has committed to publish a men’s health strategy.

“There already is a men’s health strategy: it’s called the NHS; it’s already designed by men for men,” said Dame Lesley Regan, the government’s first women’s health ambassador for England.

We've not long returned from New York City and a visit to family. This is such a vibrant and exciting place. I hope that it is not ruined by the forces now in control.

This worries me greatly. Such a backward step in the museum world.
Well this sucks. Museum caves in in response to a hostile article in the local press written by a former Restore Trust director.

If you’re gonna have these initiatives at your museum, you need to have some backbone too.

I work in a visitor attraction and every year we remind ourselves that, almost certainly, one of the children visiting us this year will end up running a site like ours in the future.

Our future is in their hands.
I went to the Science Museum yesterday and as well as having a ball with my nearly four year old in their amazing child spaces (god love free London museums) I was utterly charmed by this caption.

Upon thy early, humble birth;
Yet cheerfully thou glinted forth
Amid the storm,
Scarce rear'd above the parent-earth
Thy tender form.
