It’s here! And it matches the colour of my living room! A huge thank you to everyone who helped get to this point. It is quite surreal to have it sitting on my shelf. If you, too, want a copy (matching walls not provided) head over to edinburghuniversitypress.com/book-transat...

It's a great series. I hope this episode makes people rethink their shopping choices.
Very honoured to be included in this beautiful documentary Human Footprint, PBS. Ep 3 “Dressed to Kill” looks at the impact of fashion on the planet. It includes a brief appearance from me and an even briefer appearance from Obi (stage name ‘Margo’ 😂). Full episode: www.pbs.org/video/dresse...

April was the month for squeezing in some new research. Trips to the British Museum and the Royal Collections Trust Prints and Drawings Room at Windsor Castle, and a new notebook have fully awakened that new project feeling!

Someone recently asked me what's the point of having two or three buttons on a tailored jacket if the bottom-most button isn't meant to be fastened? It's easier to understand style if you think of it in terms of social language, not purely as function. Let me give you some examples. 🧵

What to do with a moment of calm between end of teaching and the start of all the marking? House some of the new Twomax acquisitions to the handling collection seems like a good shout. I like to think the black and orange dress was a tribute to Glasgow’s subway.
