Pragmatic Left. V intolerant of intolerants. Sweary, sarcastic, infantile, mainly harmless. Good wi' cats. May contain irony, jokes, that sort of thing. Abuse, fascists, bores & bots: all insta-blocked. Trump & Reform? 2 cheeks of the same arse #FBPE #NAFO
I think there’s something very odd going on, and I suspect we don't know the half of it, but anyone going in thinking he was going to run things just for the Labour faithful wasn't seeing the bigger picture. They knew most ppl voting in Labour were more about keeping the Tories out than anything.

No one that I knew thought he was a saviour. Only an idiot would think that. But he was (and, sadly, still is) more capable than the opposition. It's always important to be objective and not characterise any politician in simplistic terms.

The only person Epstein feared was Trump, which can help make you speculate. Also, you do have to wonder what it is about him that puts the jitters into so many Republicans, many of whom are pretty hardcore themselves.

I think you're exactly right, there. Sometimes, I do feel people are desperate for a saviour of some kind.

Well, he says 'banging', it was probably more like 20 minutes of fumbling around to find his 'magic marker'. Then him fell asleep watching Fox News.

...also, Epstein hired him to write a book to put the wind up Trump, and allow him to narcissistically create a distraction narrative. As Wolff is a journalist, he'd have been (rightly) looking at the story of the century. Epstein was drip feeding him disinformation, along with genuine dirt.

His (very interesting) books were laying out, in pretty clear terms, that Trump was a monster and unfit for government. Everyone basically shrugged and went 'well, what can you do'. He's currently counter-suing Melanie. To ensure that she goes to court & drops herself in the shit.

Its been a slow process of oligarchs and shifting ownership over the last 15 years. Russian money and greedy, corrupt Tories sat back while it went on. Unforgivable. Our media is becoming no better than Russian state TV now.

At least Hazarika was mustering for him a few contemptuous looks.

The Tories fucked up the plan, and Starmer knackered it completely for them. They're basically watching a Nazi party kicking off in the States with their faces pressed against the windows.

No, he definitely said he was going to get back to skydiving and mixed martial arts, or something. In reality, though, it was probably more like...

Burnham would be eaten alive. He'd be done within a month.
