If they want to treat Latin like it's Catholic Hebrew, then take it all the way.

But something tells me this isn't quite the level of commitment they're seeking.

Compromise:
Bring back Latin Mass, but also introduce Latin schools and make attendance and graduation compulsory before being allowed to go. Would go a long way to cracking down on the freaks and weirdos who are there for the wrong reasons.
Ingrassia of the “Nazi streak” is a big Latin Mass guy as well.

I like a fancy liturgy myself but it’s impossible not to conclude Francis was onto something when he shut these things down.

"If you found a doomsday death cult and start stockpiling an enormous quantity of illegal guns on your gigantic compound, you too could end up dead after a protracted shootout with the feds!" Thanks, you've opened my eyes, this is undoubtedly the greatest act of tyranny ever perpetrated.

I could get speculating and being skeptical about what exactly went down in Waco in the immediate aftermath of the raid, but the Danforth Report has been free to read for 25 years now. There's zero excuse for still indulging this nonsense.

They could’ve simply had the Battleships and Carries ready to strike when the Japanese launched their aircraft at Pearl and had minimal protection. Striking a massive blow to them would’ve also obviously stirred patriotism and a call to action.

Their best “evidence” was US carriers weren’t there, but ironically the importance of carries was still widely debated until Pearl proved how powerful they could be.

It’s also always been completely nonsensical if you have any understanding of what happened. Japan attacked the Philippines & Wake Island at the same time, while sending a force towards Alaska. THEY knew that no matter what, US would enter the war that day. Pearl Harbor or not.

The first thing any skilled leader does when building up public support for going to war is to deliberately let the enemy kill thousands of his men in a humiliating military strike.

Roosevelt understood this; Bush understood it; do you?
November 21, 2025 at 12:26 AM
Guys… if he'd known a Japanese surprise attack was incoming… he'd have used said information to drum up support in Congress for a preemptive declaration of war. And guarantee no casualties when they did strike, assuming it couldn't be averted.

I'd made a joke asking why did FDR let Pearl Harbor happen, but it is in fact a commonly held conviction on the horseshoe that he really did know it was coming and refuse to stop it so he'd have a casus belli, even after declassified documents in 2008 conclusively disproved this conspiracy theory.

Trump II is what you get when you combine equal parts late Soviet gerontocracy, post-communist Eastern European oligarchy, a South American caudillo regime, and 1890s Dixie racial revanchism.
Aside from everything else about this, "if we just don't CALL it a recession then the economy will be fine" is just another iteration of "if we weren't testing there wouldn't be so many cases"

October 7 is already a nightmare to talk about or openly mourn only two years later, I dread think how bad it'll get in the coming decades.

I, for one, refuse to let myself be gaslit, now or ever.

There have been little shits saying it anonymously on obscure forums ever since the towers fell, but it's become much more acceptable to say publicly in the 2020s as memory of the attacks and what a profound act of evil they truly were fades ever further into history.

We know why 9/11 happened, it's not some mystery, the mastermind wrote it out. He wanted to establish a global caliphate with himself at the head, thought Jewish puppet state America was the only thing stopping it, and a series of high-profile terrorist attacks would bring them down.
November 20, 2025 at 11:11 PM
Have fun trying to explain to a Tintin avatar that a) there are no Taliban members in the below photograph and b) even if there were, it wouldn't turn 9/11 into some act of cosmic justice.
