I'm not sure what to say to any of it, so here's a picture of my dog Hope, who we adopted in 2020 during what we thought was the All Is Lost moment in this story but turned out to just be world-building for 2025.

I've had the strangest most heartbreaking week in which I reconnected with my very long-lost brother and filed for my estranged father’s death certificate on my deceased mother’s birthday. Life is wild.

Everything is so dark and heavy but I just had my last infusion after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. I won’t miss the infusion center, but I’m grateful for the kind nurses who took such good care of me. Onward. 🩵

Super grateful for the airbnb lister who charged a minimal cleaning fee and reasonable rate so I could book myself a three night writing retreat to kick off the new year 🤩
