Thank you, @100wordstory.bsky.social for publishing this little piece of my heart.
Last played the day she died, her flute collects dust in the attic—the whisper of her breath still trapped in the hollow of it.

I didn't know this. Going to download Libby now. ❤️ My Library.
It's more important than ever to support your public library. #Libraries are community. They are about opening minds and opening doors. Get a library card, and check out books. Download Libby. Libraries need the stats for funding, which is now uncertain. And thank your librarian.

We love you.

I deleted the sky-follower thing that would bring all my followed/following from the former place. Trying to avoid politics because my #brokenheart can't take any more right now. Where are the #writers? Where are the #doglovers? I need you. #cnf #tinytruth #memoir

I was just reading a post by @bkjackson.bsky.social on a Binder site about worrying an author won't like a review. I checked @hippocampusmag.bsky.social and saw my review was published. I hope I got it right because this here is a special book.

So glad to see this essay by @micheledhaber.bsky.social here. From the title to the ending and everything in between, so deserving of all those nominations.

There’s something about shared grief, a community of bereaved, that feels sacred. Like it was meant to be, but our civilized ways have taken the howling right out of our throats. Taught us to reach for the tissues and dab discreetly at our tears.

So honored to have a mention in @dianegotauthor.bsky.social 's wonderful bookish newsletter, WomanPause, where I always find new authors to follow or books I must read. And now I want to swim with pigs. But just little ones.

We're Still Here!! - Diane Gottlieb
Happy Tuesday, everyone.   It’s two weeks past the election, and if you’re reading this, you have survived.   I do not say that lightly. For some, this election felt like a life-or-death event.   And ...

My friend Casey's debut memoir is on its way into the world. It will make you cry in that way that hurts so good you'll want to read it again.
Did you experience significant loss as a child? I did, which is why there’s a special place in my heart for those who have.

Read about Children’s Grief Awareness Month and what that means to me in the latest from Embracing the Full Catastrophe. Hope to see you there. 🩷

Who remembers #cnftweet and #tinytruth ? Those were some of my favorite happening on Twitter. Here's an early one of mine. What could we call them here? #Skybits?
I'd love to see yours.

Who am I fooling with that "stay kind" post? I don't feel kind. I'm filled with awful rage. Just so you know who I really am, in case you'd rather not follow angry, vengeful me. I curse a lot. It's getting worse. I''ll try to contain it by staying off the toxic landfill of X. And dog/cat pics.

The migratory movement from X (which I'd refused to call it until now) reminds me of this lovely image by Jennifer Lambein. #Hello, #writers, #dog people, #cat lovers, #bug photographers, Binders. It's a new day. Happy to be here.

It's late and I'm tired but it feels good to finally look at the Blue Sky. I'm hopeful. I made a lot of writer friends in Twitterville, many who've become as real as the Velveteen Rabbit.

And what C. Avie Lowe said.
Nothing special to say; just enjoying the connection. It feels like the first day on campus, only I'm not worried I'll have no one to sit with at dinner.
