After a recent early morning airport drop off, I continued down to Wexford for the first time in years. I was delighted to find a juvenile American Golden Plover at Tacumshin, before a harrier spectacle. The male Northern Harrier joined a few Hen and Marsh Harriers as the sun set.

It is remarkable that, in a region as heavily studied as the Mediterranean, it is still possible to discover places were a "raptor river" takes place

www.raptoridentification.com/a-focus-on-j... I have been glacially slow at pulling these thoughts together on the vagrancy/ID of these Nearctic Hare-footed Stunners. I hope it’s of use to some very lucky person one day somewhere in Europe. thanks for your time.

Excited to be doing the Yorkshire Big Day on Saturday with our Dirty Habicht team @grafhamwbirder.bsky.social @yorkscoastnature.bsky.social and Dunc Poyser. We'll be trying to beat the record we set in 2019 of 156 bird species in 24 hours.
We'll be donating to the Jack Snipe tracking project too.

If you were to explain a feathers colouration as ‘bolognese stained tupperware’ is this acceptable? But you know what I mean right. 🤷‍♂️ #reviewingmynotesinshame 😆

After getting decent views of the Pale-legged Leaf quite early, it was back to home turf, and the Welwick Pallid Harrier gave amazing views, just a shame I only had my phone. Watched it gain height, go east and descend into the 'Kilnsington' area, where it was then seen later on. #UKBirding
