Does anyone remember🍇 when you could add your own text-labels to in-game maps? I always loved that feature. Is there any modern game that even tried this?

Lots of crafting games do this, as a "beacon" or "signpost" buildable, but I would love to see this come back in RPGs and adventure games.

I haven't been able to find a paying project for months. Can you help? Every share is appreciated.

I heard that light exercise sometimes helps with migraines. The bad news that it didn't help. The good news that I was at the gym at 6:00am for the first time in a long time. I still can't read properly but at least I feel like I tried something. 🏆

All my flights I booked just got cancelled and I got booked into a plethora of alternate airlines and weird layovers. Just FYI if anyone has any travel plans. Thanks BIDEN! /s

If the govt shutdown is still going when thanksgiving rolls around, it is going to be absolute bedlam.

Remember when spacebar was the default action key in PC video games? Nowadays it just gets a small nudge in the corner with the thumb.
I fondly remember those four-finger slams where you could hear the plastic creak as you tried to shoot harder or jump higher.

When the entire HDR/2x4K/144Khz stack works it is absolutely wonderful. I finally have a KVM switch that actually supports it all (through DP/USB-C) and my Mac Studio is happy as a clam.

Windows still doesn't understand what's going on, but at least it doesn't drop connection randomly.

I like seeing random boring stuff that I don't care about - so I'm adding to the pile. Posting junk from my desktop folder. This folder has been growing for decades.

Hey EGA fans, does anyone have a good candidate for the “easiest/nicest to read” (colored?) font? I’m looking for a font that is easy to read big texts in EGA res. (Variable width prob, would have some markup)

I have a really bad cold and my nose is -for lack of a better word- deconstructing itself.

Fun fact, the Proboscis Monkey was also called the "Dutch Monkey" because Dutch colonizers were known for their large noses and fat bellies.

Finally saw the Minecraft movie; it was terrible but I finally got to use my Standard Galactic Alphabet fluency from 30 years ago. @thattomhall.bsky.social taught me well. (Hidden classroom area!)

Am I the only computer nerd who likes text on screen to be big? I like smooth large letters to read; the only time I reduce the size is if I need to see big blocks of code for some reason. I tend to run all UI stuff as big as possible. Nowadays screen real-estate is so cheap ($/steradian). #48pt

The new RoboCop:RC-UB game is officially a Certified Cat Game!
You get to pet a cat, feed a cat and practice a speech to a cat.

The game starts slow but surprised me with cool vignettes and storytelling. I hope they will push their tech more into interactivity and NPC/world building.

Both my cats went crazy when they saw a bird in the window reflection.
They didn't realize that said bird was sitting right next to them, and I could not get them to turn their head to the actual bird sitting 4 feet away.

Game (Art) idea: 2D game with a hex grid that is not axis aligned in any way. No straight lines, no nice 1:2, 1:3. You get nothing. Just pixel hell.

I’ve been low-key obsessed with this 2020 Steam game that is basically a RDR scope game with wizards and only ~100 unity store assets. It’s amazing and everybody should play it. I’ve only start scratching the surface. store.steampowered.com/app/1071290/...

hi Graphics BlueSky (both of you!) what is the best/seminal write-up of inverse Z? I see lots of bits and pieces but I'm looking for a "full story" type deal; something I can point to as a solid reference
