He shouldn't be sacked. He's got more than enough in the bank to have a "blip" season and survive it. Especially if we continue to do well in the cups.

True, but I think the Craig saga is too insulated, too much its own thing to do that again. I might be wrong, but I'm not sure modern audiences would go for it.
Better to just go with a hard reset. Make them fun again.

Oh absolutely, if they just recast every role and get on with it, there's no problem that way. It's a new era, and a new continuity.
I can just see there being confusion if they still have the same M, Q, Moneypenny etc (as done in previous Bonds) given the definitive full stop at the end of NTTD.

100% this. Audiences weaned on shared universes will be confused by seeing Wishaw, Fiennes et al engaging with a different 007, and acting like the Daniel Craig Bond never existed.
