I love reading those posts that talk about what makes a particular region Gothic. Since the small town I spent my adolescent years in is a Stephen King novel waiting to happen, I find I relate to these posts. And it's always fun to see what other people consider Gothic horror in their region.

We're at the end of 2025, and I'm starting to see posts about how people didn't accomplish all their goals for the year. Understandably, you might be a bit down if you didn't meet your own expectations this year. But given the shitshow that 2025 has been. Just surviving is enough.

I don't advocate the theft of native land, I'm fully aware the story of the first Thanksgiving is mostly bullshit, I know those Rockwell paintings were mainly marketing, but some of us just like turkey ok?

I'm listening to the umpteenth trans bathroom debate, and I have a simple solution.
Just make all bathrooms unisex.
We could just follow Europe's example (like with stall doors) and leave it at that.
People have too many weird hangups about sex and gender. Creeps aren't letting a sign stop them.

Maybe it's the writer in me, but I prefer to believe in the face of a lack of evidence. For instance, we have no reason to expect that an afterlife exists, and yet I still hope to see my loved ones again. It's not that I believe I will, but more that I lack disbelief.

A quick thought
Assuming Satan were real, why would he speak Latin? Granted, it sounds pretty cool. But you would think a fallen angel would speak Enochian right?
Of course, this assumes that Satan and Lucifer are one and the same. Isn't that the biblical interpretation?

I've avoided the Webtoons app as it was just a vehicle for smut comics and poorly made fanwank. But I've recently seen some cool works on there. Anyone have thoughts on whether the app is worthwhile, and/or suggestions on good stuff to check out? Might even be a good vehicle for my own work.

I'm watching the newest episodes of #hazbinhotel and I gotta say, I'm hooked. The story is an interesting continuation from where we left off season one. And the music!!! It's soo good!!! I'm a casual fan of musicals, REPO, Sweeney Todd, the usual. So maybe my taste is lacking, I doubt it though.

Just read the trade for Assassin's Creed Visionaries, and it was a damned good book. If you're a fan of comics, Assassin's Creed, or even historical fiction, you'll find something to enjoy in this book. I mean, giant Assassin mechs anyone???

Congratulations to all the winners of yesterday's elections. If I had no hope, y'all gave me a little. I even saw somewhere that like, 71% of voters polled said they directly opposed Trump. Shit's wild.

As a lifelong fan of comedians like George Carlin and Robin Williams, I can't help but wonder what comedy would be like today if they had lived to see this administration. I can only imagine those guys would've had a field day.
