It doesn't fit the UK narrative around the #ECHR.

Section 28 became law 34 years ago today.

It formed part of the Local Government Act, and was designed to ban the ‘promotion of homosexuality’. This was done in the name of ‘protecting children’.

Section 28 was repealed in 2000 in Scotland

It was repealed in England and Wales in 2003
