It’s easily missed

People have been asking @mancitycouncil.bsky.social to alter the cycle barriers at St Werburgs tram stop for years. It took 3 people and some minor skin damage to get my cargo bike through here today. It really needn’t be this hard for such a simple cheap fix.

Seen this solution in a few places in Chorlton. Presumably council sanctioned. Must say it works well, removing trip hazard and generally tidy, until someone parks in ‘your’ space.

One of the reasons I want ramps on Aytoun St is to kick start a rethink of Dale St whilst providing an alternative to Portland St.

Can we have these ramps as a permanent fixture on Aytoun St?
My favourite way to leave the NQ and avoid the hideous Portland St is to cut across the tram lines here to get to Bloom St. Impossible on cargo bike.

The Trans Pennine Trail passes close to my house. Fantastic but flawed resource. Anti bike barriers along much of it and now this closure which could have very easily have allowed access to the ramp without compromising operations but instead sends you up steps. Nr Didsbury & river Mersey.

The beach can be a bit dramatic though.

Going for a swim here is amazing. (And cold)

Conduit for new electrical supply delivered in time for the electrician, and thanks to proximity of the suppliers to canal tow path a lovely ride too.
