Aha, here we are Archers Fans. What offence can the protestors be charged with? Public Order Act 1986 makes it an offence to interfere with goods or threaten or claim to do so with the intent to cause harm. Up to ten years inside #TheArchers

Starmer’s position that we shouldn’t retaliate on tariffs because we’re negotiating a trade deal looks rather weak now. If Trump was serious about a deal being agreed soon, why would he have stuck tariffs on the UK?

Watching the “get checked for cancer” adverts. Love how the NHS comms team seem to think GPs sit in some sort of futuristic looking clinic room with CT images up in the screen to show the patient. Not inspiring confidence that the centre have an understanding of primary care.

I did not know this. Liquorice is very high in iron - I've even seen it listed on an NHS trust's page about foods which are good sources of iron - so might be attractive to those worried about their intake (including veggies and vegans). But it could be a health hazard.....
As a good suggestion from @deevybee.bsky.social I have decided to post my infamous liquorice thread from X a few years ago to here. This is valuable knowledge if you or anyone you know has high blood pressure and likes a bit of liquorice. The stuff might kill you.

What is it with the “theme weeks”? I don’t recall this being an Archers “feature” before. They are all poorly written and shoehorned into the normal storylines. I thought scam week was bad but “real life panto week” is even worse #TheArchers

Interesting and unexpected! Does it depend on the type of anti hypertensive I wonder? And what of patients with treated blood pressures at lower levels or with adverse effects of treatment (such as postal drop)?
Are rewilding and beavers the biggest topics in farming communities at the moment? Seems to be a massive investment of time in this storyline which is not very dramatic and a bit silly in places (meeting with Neo) #TheArchers
