You don't really reckon with the counter arguments in this article. I don't think being in work is inherently good, otherwise we would be like the USSR propagandising about Stakhanov

Nowhere in your article do you analyse what work is.
Imho, it's a way for employers to extract value from their employees; quite often in "bullshit" jobs.
The pride we take in working would be much greater if we knew they had a positive impact on our communities; or if our workplace was worker-owned

The problem is not the minimum wage being increased to parity. The problem is that employers are too bloody awful to pay everyone a decent wage. If they did we could reduce in work benefits dramatically and improve people's standard of living. Try having a moan at EMPLOYERS not YOUNGSTERS.

Paying 18 years olds less money for the same work is not the only way of giving businesses an incentive to employ them.

Questions for you Andrew. One, will those who receive state pension have to pay tax if they are in receipt of other benefits such as PIP. Two, is there any information on the surcharge for online shopping? How will it effect consumers?

Yes but not enough until the overall benefits cap is axed.

Supporters of staying in the ECHR need to learn the lessons of the Brexit debate and ensure their comms etc. are accurate and pitched so that people know what's at stake. Whether they do is another matter.

Brexit was the slap that knocked us off course, leaving the ECHR is the chainsaw to the knees.
Farage’s asset stripping private healthcare MAGA billionaire mates are salivating over it

99% of us are really going to hate what happens outside the ECHR & by the time we all realise, it’ll be too late

In case there are any landlords and Air BnB 'hosts' reading this worrying about your passive income: don't worry, under a Green government you'll be able to claim the Universal Basic Income so you won't have to move on to extorting anyone else. 😂

Now THIS would make a huge difference to the ordinary people of this country. Decent, truly affordable homes are a human right and the best way to tackle poverty, health and wellbeing inequalities. Great to see some real, workable solutions being proposed by the Greens 💚

Excellent policy. One I fully agree with.

Disagree with that entirely. Unless the UC standard allowance is substantially increased. Minimum £150 per week. Taking 15% of £97 or thereabouts is has a massive impact. The benefit cap needs to be completely abolished. Minimum wage increased to £20 per hour. UC @£150 per week to make difference.
