I was more on about the practical skill vs the theory and education.
I'm thinking more along the lines of improv, or working in a service industry, or group volunteer work: talking to people, with an audience, quickly and efficiently. It's useful everywhere but rare in the tech world.

No joke: the most single useful skills you can have as a professional developer is communications skills and business acumen. Nothing you'll find with a CS degree.
Understanding how businesses work, understanding how to talk to new people. Those are precious gems in our world.

Anyone can learn the code and syntax, and no one always needs to know the exact terminology. It'll change.
The most important thing we're looking for is an ability to learn with humility. At the end of the day, it's interpersonal relationships that make a career. Especially in tech.

Nothing puts imposter syndrome to bed faster than being in management and interviewing other developers, friend.
We with imposter syndrome think too little of ourselves while so many graduate from a CS program and think they've ascended to some higher plane of thought.

If nothing else there's a mountain of resentment.
All the intricate legal arguments they tried, and they could've just had Bush have some girl in her twenties tell the press, "the law clearly says it's legal to bomb sovereign nations if he uses the R slur while announcing it."

There's something extremely patronizing, on multiple levels, about the idea that there's a difference between rhetoric and policy to discuss with certain monied leaders after an election.

I dropped regular soda and drank diet for maybe two months, but eventually just went to seltzer. Sweeteners all taste awful, all of them.
Seltzer though, reminds me of beer in an odd way and that clicked. Now that's my habit.

I look at misogyny as the core of the cult tbh, I don't think it's Christians and even the grifters are just flies attracted to shit. It's the blatant, shameless misogyny that all these terminally divorced men respect most. It's the one thing they all agree on.

Tech bros really won't be able to resist the idea of a "live trial". At least once. I'm sure these get analyzed to hell and back but not as sure as I am of tech bros doing that.
