Just so folks are clear -
I'm waiving all donations for my contributions (training/convening) to this effort.
All facilitators are volunteers - and I am hoping that they will reimbursed for their labors by donation

These meetings are organized to support professional and *natural* helpers (caretakers, parents, activists, teachers, medical and mental health care providers, community organizers, advocates - anyone in danger of burnout, over-extension or demoralization

We currently have about 9 active facilitators who have committed to holding a once monthly Gathered Meeting by donation - so I'm hoping we will be able to have a couple meetings each week for folks to be able to drop into or attend regularly

Reading this I gasped in agony & horror/moral injury. I feel this as the most intense punch to the gut (& soul) as someone who has had 3 separate breast cancers and who has been a fierce patient advocate. Please send my love to your friend.

A friend drove two hours today for her breast cancer chemotherapy only to learn it was canceled due to NIH cuts. Clinical trial ended midstream. No treatment, no restart, no plan, no information. Her bro-in-law's chemo was also canceled.
