Basically - sometimes you might train to get below 5:50/km, but it's also cool to sack that off and focus on "boinging" like a bunny over the finish line.

I'm such an average runner, sometimes I think I'm rubbish for not doing a certain pace or time. Running with a 4 year old reminded me that really we should run for the joy even if we're never the fastest, and that sometimes it's just about the buzz of finishing something which you found hard.

Sometimes I'm reminded she just needs patience. Sometimes she needs her own space, others she needs me right there. Sometimes it's about getting a Kinder Egg at the end, others it's about knowing how many runs until they give her a wristband. Sometimes you just want to bunny hop the last 20 meters.

Now I really hope she's right and Godzilla is in this version.
