I see the @newsagents.bsky.social are all over this piece from the NY Times.
I've thought for a while there are editorial issues at the BBC, sometimes left bias & sometimes right?

Maybe they are too busy letting everyone have a say and not busy enough at challenging what they say. I want the truth!

The dark lords of populism feed on fear. You can't fight fear with logic. The only effective weapon is hope.
We've seen how effective that is in New York and the Netherlands recently.
Kier Starmer & @kemibadenochmp.bsky.social - forget legal arguments & identity politics.

I see Rory Stewart is a miffed with Newsnight as I am.
Last Newsnight featured an ex-Tory MP now deform defector I. I don't think I've seen a lib dem aired on the show since they did a TikTok meme of Ed Davy saying "Farage" a few times in a hr long conference so each.

I keep being amused by some devs claiming that multi-region support for a service should be easy to add. Then turns out they're unaware of what active-active arch is.

Multi-region support is not all that complex from afar, but it gets complicated with the details.

Is this nuts or not?

I’m a firm believer that AI won’t replace jobs, it’ll recategorize them. The question is… are we adapting fast enough?

This brilliant piece in the FT shows how damaging populist governments are.

Right and left wing populists loose 10% & 15% GDP respv. over 15 yrs.

My Right wing populist relative replied seriously:

"See Reform is better by 5% of GDP"

Populists place the narrative of ‘people vs elites’ at the center of their political agenda and then claim to be the sole representative of ‘the people.’” … those who are against them are “enemies of the people”. Populists may not be dictators. But they certainly can be.
