I know it is an obvious thing to say but conceding so early really screwed us. One of the best teams in the world playing 10 behind the ball from 80 minutes is extraordinarily difficult to break down.

Madueke was brilliant today, first game in a while I felt like we didn't miss Saka.

He made a couple of decent saves but Raya’s dominance on crosses was big for us again last night. Real Madrid getting a corner was almost like us getting a goal kick.

Whatever the outcome it’s worth acknowledging it’s a big deal to be in the quarter finals playing a team like Real Madrid. Those years spent out of the champs this felt like it would never happen.
