Nice wrist pad.

hehe, it's always grey and soggy around here, but in our case it's been good since the water table was dangerously low and now we're back up to near Max (at least on the surface...). I wouldn't mind a bit of snow so I can take the dog for night walks :)

sounds like November.

Do they crash that often? It does highlight that old all your eggs in the one basket adage though... it's a good idea until it isn't.

Since november 1, both gauges at the site are reporting 167.2 mm and 159.4 mm. July 1 to Oct 31, 343.1 mm.

The "today" tab will give you the max min temperature so far and I believe the highest wind speed so far for that day (3 am to 3am). And the current tab is literally just the latest hourly observations. It's a handy page.

You'll note the places with actual people observing will differentiate between rain and snowfall amounts (usually...) So you're getting the "precipitation" amount, which in the winter, could be a mixture of rain or snow. In this case, it seems like 26.8 mm of rain fell yesterday.

You can always use this link (weather.gc.ca/provincialsu...) to lookup the amount of rainfall that fell the day before, just click on the Yesterday's tab. It'll also give you max / Min temperatures and max wind gust. It will give you the amounts fell from 3am ish to 3am ish the day before.

I was out there at about a quarter to 11. Now maybe they subsided and came back later, but it was a pretty good display when I was out.

That in Stephenville? Cause yeah, it's not really the place for the enhanced southeasterlies. Southwest winds on the other hand...

71.6 mm as of the latest observation

I guess it's same shit different pile on whether you bag it all up or slowly spread it around the lawn haha.

I usually just mulch it and leave it, but I would wager the size of the trees is a big factor. Our maples are more medium sized, the birch is big though. Not sure how many bags it would be, but I'd guess I could probably get a bag or two of mulch if I tried.

slightly related... I have no idea if I was supposed to triple hyphenate that... ha.

English as a language already has a surprising amount of head-scratcher-logic without adding accents to the mix. Mind you, I realize someone with french descent cannot claim superiority on language straightforwardness...

maybe Superman's fortress of solitude is real... although I fear to joke about something that some folks might take as truth.
