Little #TeaByTheSeaInTheTrees: Thomas Howe Forest edition after and afternoon of trail maintenance. Great #nlwx for it, cold enough to keep the sweating to a minimum

Just curled up with my "blanket"...

Sunday tea watching the snow melt vibes. Not fully sure what this sheen is on really hot tea, but it reminds me of weather patterns, so I like it. Fluid dynamics baby. #nlwx

Tis a bit chilly, but at least #nlwx is obliging to let us see the encore acte of this solar storm
November 13, 2025 at 3:06 AM
Fences can totally make wind observations. #nlwx
November 7, 2025 at 6:20 PM
I mean, I hope this is obvious to anyone in Corner Brook... but this is a wind sensor glitch. #nlwx

still venting, sorry.

Ahhh... La vie, quelle misere... Rainy day vibes. (No complaints, we really need this rain). #nlwx

Rainy #nlwx for this #TeaByTheSeaInTheTrees: Gander Disc Golf edition. Found a nice quiet grove to sip my tea (and also found the disc I lost yesterday lol). Not a breath of wind.

Heck of a day #nlwx, heck of a day. #TeaByTheSeaInTheTrees: Thomas Howe edition
October 21, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Fine day for helping to build Gander's first disc golf course. Really excited to play this tomorrow! Always need a good supervisor...
October 18, 2025 at 6:23 PM
A bit wet for #TeaByTheSeaInTheTrees: Gander Ski club \ disc golf edition. The birds are singing though, which makes this scene extra excellent. #nlwx

Round two of #TeaByTheSeaInTheTrees: Corduroy Brook edition. Bit more colour today, good #nlwx albeit a bit cold on the hands at first.

Not quite as dramatic a signal, but still the majority of the months below the 0 line. The summer flooding stands out pretty well, preceded by the several dry months that lead to the wildfires that same year.
October 10, 2025 at 11:59 AM
On the longer scale, only 7 of the last 48 months have been measured above the normal precipitation line. All the rest are below to varying degrees. It's not surprise that water levels in streams, lakes, etc are down. #nlwx
October 10, 2025 at 11:20 AM
With the 15 to 20 mm we got yesterday / this morning, that would push us just a bit closer to 200 mm, but we're still well below the average for the last 90 days. #nlwx
October 10, 2025 at 11:16 AM
Cup number two. One could describe today as looking like equinox, feeling like solstice. #nlwx
October 7, 2025 at 6:03 PM
I don't think it's quite the peak yet, but the sunny #nlwx is making everything pop wonderfully. Gorgeous (probably too hot day for October) time for #TeaByTheSea: Corduroy Brook edition.
October 7, 2025 at 5:24 PM
2nd half of the thermos, second lookoff. Still gorgeous. #nlwx
October 3, 2025 at 7:26 PM
Been a while since I've had some #TeaByTheSea: Gander Lake edition. Gorgeous day out here, still about 20 ish days early of fall peak, though the maples are well on their way. #nlwx

The limbless window kitty awaits the return of the sunshine.

Well... RIP Humberto. Can't really find anything tropical looking in that blob at this point. Imelda wins a guess? Hopefully it doesn't strengthen too much before it hits Bermuda.
October 1, 2025 at 5:03 PM
well, Humberto is looking a bit healthier, and is back "on track". We'll have to wait until overnight tonight / tomorrow morning to see two tropical systems merge.
September 30, 2025 at 7:21 PM
Looks like the fun might be starting earlier than expected? Humberto's core is already completely exposed, and it sure looks like it's taking an unscheduled turn towards the northwest. Having said that, these storms can sometimes wobble a bit and look like they are turning. Eyes = peeled.
September 30, 2025 at 1:14 PM
And just like that, we've gone from a two tangled Schwartz's scenario to Imelda cannabilizing Humberto, a scenario that's pretty much supported by all the major models at the moment. Going to be an interesting day to look at the satellite tomorrow.
